Now that the entire personnel file of George Joannides has been released, Jefferson Morley has now published his unified theory of nothingness.
I have just found the Gaeton Fonzi's HSCA Outside Contact Reports with a variety of DRE leaders.
Here is his report on Jose Lanusa:
The first three pages concern what happened after the assassination, and you can see that after Lanusa head that Lee Harvey Oswald was the assassin, he checked the files and found the Bringuier material. He then called his CIA contact, George Joannides, who is not named in the memo. He told Lanusa to wait an hour and that he would call back with instructions. But Lanusa could not wait and contacted the press on his own.
Here is the Gaeton Fonzi's HSCA Outside Contact Report for Ross Crozier who was the CIA contact for the DRE in 1962 before George Joannides:
He said he does not recall the name of the officer who replaced him but would not reveal it to us, because of his secrecy agreement, if he did.
I really wonder why Gaeton Fonzi could not figure out who replaced Ross Crozier as the CIA case officer for the DRE.
Perhaps he wasn't all that interested.

He said that after Ross Crozier ("Roger") was removed as the CIA's liaison with the DRE in November, 1962, he met a number of other CIA officials. First there was "Vicente" or "Riccardo (he is not certain), then there was "Howard," then "the Colonel" and then "Pablo."
Howard was George Joannides.
The only incident Salvat remembers of Lee Harvey Oswald attempting to infiltrate the DRE was the one told to him by Carlos Bringuier in New Orleans. As far as he knows, Bringuier was the only DRE member who had ever had contact with Oswald.
I have a suspicion that it more important to Fonzi to research the Veciana story, to work on David Atlee Phillips, and on E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis, than it was to find out who replaced Ross Crozier.

Borja just confirms what the other DRE leaders said about Bringuier and Oswald. It is also apparent from Borja that the DRE started to disregard the direction of the CIA in 1962 and went off on its own.
Fonzi certainly talked to a lot of people:
There is nothing in this material that supports the Jefferson Morley's story that Joannides instigated the DRE to go to the press and blame Castro for the assassination.
