And guess what? There is nothing in these documents about any so-called "Oswald Operation."

Remember, Morley was convinced that the Joannides personnel file had details of some undisclosed CIA operation involving Lee Harvey Oswald.

What are they hiding? We can now answer that question with some precision. The CIA is hiding 44 documents known to exist in Joannides' personnel file that will shed light on his secret activities in 1963 and 1978. These include information about a CIA operation involving Lee Harvey Oswald that has never been disclosed.
I'm not crazy about the term 'smoking gun.' I think that's a bit of a cliche -- it's not a term that investigative reporters use but I think in this case it's appropriate. What we are talking about here is not smoking gun proof of a conspiracy to kill the President. We're talking about smoking gun proof of a CIA operation involving Lee Harvey Oswald that the CIA is still concealing in 2022. This body of records has profound implications for the official story of the assassination.

The 44 documents held in Joannides’ personnel file, for example, do not mention Oswald’s name but they do concern the intelligence methods and the cover—the false identity—that Joannides used in late 1963 when his psy-war agents collected intelligence on and generated propaganda about Oswald, depicting him as a pawn of Fidel Castro.
In mid-1963, senior Agency officials approved a covert operation that used Lee Harvey Oswald for intelligence purposes, three months before Oswald allegedly shot and killed the president in Dallas on November 22, 1963. The CIA hid this operation from the Warren Commission in 1964, from the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978, and from the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) in 1998. The explosive story is told in 44 JFK records that the CIA has “denied in full” to the public.

But the documents reveal none of the above. No Oswald operation. Absolutely nothing about Lee Harvey Oswald. Nothing about a mission to deceive the HSCA.

The CIA had previously denied the usage of the alias "Howard." Did they lie? Did Joannides need this ID for some particular reason? Did he use the name Howard Gebler when working with DRE? I don't know.

But it doesn't affect the fact that the new files show nothing about an Oswald operation.

You can see some of the DRE documents addressed "to Howard," here, here, here, and here.

Yet another Morley nothingburger.
