James DiEugenio Refuses to Admit He Used Fake Handbills in "JFK: Destiny Betrayed"

Oliver Stone used a fake handbill in his movie JFK, and a fake handbill was also used in his so-called documentary series JFK: Destiny Betrayed.

You can read my blog posts about this topic:

Jefferson Morley is the latest researcher to use a fake Oswald handbill.

First, DiEugenio claimed that Dave Boylan answered my challenge. But he just posted this from the HSCA:

It's clear that Mr. DiEugenio has not read my blog posts.

Yes, 544 Camp Street was stamped on a few Corliss Lamont pamphlets. But the handbills that Oswald handed out in New Orleans on three occasions either were stamped with his home address or with his P. O. Box.

Here are some comments on Mr. DiEugenio's post:

  1. He claims that Banister had become "angry" because of the use of 544 Camp Street. However, while this quote is from John Newman's book, Oswald and the CIA, his source is Delphine Roberts. Even the HSCA found her to be not credible.

  1. DiEugenio quotes a Banister employee quoted in Newman's book. That employee was Bill Nitschke. I have a copy of his deposition before the HSCA. All he said was that Banister had a copy of Oswald's handbill after they had been handed out. Nitschke remembered nothing of the handbill and said only that Banister seemed upset because of the communist nature of the flyer.

  2. Jesse Core, who worked at the Trade Mart, kept a handbill and donated it to the Historic New Orleans Collection:

  1. DiEugenio references his own book regarding Oswald being seen at 544 Camp Street. His witnesses include Delphine Roberts (see above), her daughter who told all sorts of ridiculous stories to Gerald Posner, Mary Brengel, Dan Campbell, Allen Campbell, Vern Gerdes, and Tommy Baumler,

  2. As far as scratching out addresses on handbills, check out this blog post.

There is no serious evidence that Oswald was ever at Banister's office.
