- "JFK Revisited" Misleads by Putting Words in Kennedy's Mouth...
A previous blog post discussed supposed CIA involvement in the attempted coup against French President Charles de Gaulle in 1961. Oliver Stone's so-called documentary, JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass, misleads viewers into believing the CIA was aiding the rebel generals. David Talbot in JFK Revisited Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (1:34:58) David Talbot: JFK assures the French ambassador, "I had nothing to do with this. I stand in full support of President de Gaulle," but he says something very, very alarming. He tells the French ambassador, President Kennedy [does], that I am not in full control, though, of my entire government. I'm not in control of the CIA. And I can't speak for what's happening there. That's a stunning admission for a U.S. President to make. I cannot find any support for the film's claim that JFK told the French Ambassador: I am not in full control, though, of my entire government. I'm not in control of the CIA. And I can't speak for what's happening there. This supposed quote from JFK is not in Talbot's book. The closest I can find is on page 412 where he writes "But the strange events that occurred in Paris in April 1961 reinforced the disturbing feeling that President Kennedy was not in control of his own government." There is no footnote for that statement. However, on C-SPAN in 2015, Talbot said this (33:07) ... SO IN 1961 ON THE HEELS OF THE BAY OF PIGS INVASION OF CUBA, YOUNG PRESIDENT KENNEDY WHO'S JUST BEEN INAUGURATED A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE IS NOW FACED WITH ANOTHER CRISIS RELATED TO THE CIA. CHARLES de GAULLE AND HIS GOVERNMENT ARE FURIOUS, ARE SCREAMING THAT THE CIA IS BACKING A RIGHT-WING FRENCH MILITARY COUP AGAINST HIM. AND PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S PUT IN THE EXTREMELY AWKWARD POSITION OF TELLING THE de GAULLE GOVERNMENT, WELL, I'M NOT IN CONTROL OF THE CIA. I CAN'T SPEAK FOR THEM. I'M NOT SUPPORTING THIS COUP, BUT I CAN'T SPEAK FOR THE CIA. AND THEN FINALLY, I THINK THE BIG HEADLINE, OF COURSE, IN MY BOOK THAT'S GETTING A LOT OF PUSHBACK FROM THE MEDIA GATEKEEPERS LOOKS AT ALLEN DULLES' INVOLVEMENT IN THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION ITSELF. de GAULLE, BY THE WAY, FELT THAT THESE DULLES FORCES WERE BEHIND THE ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY. HE TOLD HIS INFORMATION MINISTER WHEN HE CAME BACK FROM THE FUNERAL OF JOHN KENNEDY THAT THE SAME NATIONAL SECURITY FORCES IN THE U.S. THAT TARGETED ME KILLED PRESIDENT KENNEDY. THAT HAS NEVER REALLY BEEN REPORTED IN THIS COUNTRY. THAT BOOK HAS NEVER EVEN BEEN TRANSLATED. IT WAS A MEMOIR BY de GAULLE'S INFORMATION MINISTER THAT HE WROTE THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN FRANCE, NEVER TRANSLATED IN THE U.S. SO THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT. I PRESENT, I THINK, VERY COMPELLING NEW EVIDENCE THAT TIES DULLES TO THE ASSASSINATION AND, OF COURSE, TO THE COVER-UP, BECAUSE HE PLAYED SUCH A CRITICAL ROLE ON THE WARREN COMMISSION ... An aside, the book that Talbot references is C'était de Gaulle by Alain Peyrefitte. Talbot discusses de Gaulle's suspicions about the Kennedy assassination here. Of course, the book was published after de Gaulle had died. Sound familiar? On page 454 of Talbot's book, The Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, The CIA and the Rise of America's Secret Government: JFK took pains to assure Paris that he strongly supported de Gaulle’s presidency, phoning Hervé Alphand, the French ambassador in Washington, to directly communicate these assurances. But, according to Alphand, Kennedy’s disavowal of official U.S. involvement in the coup came with a disturbing addendum—the American president could not vouch for his own intelligence agency. Kennedy told Alphand that “the CIA is such a vast and poorly controlled machine that the most unlikely maneuvers might be true.” Talbot's source is pages 197 - 198 of Vincent Jauvert's book L'Amerique Contre De Gaulle. Dean Rusk, the Secretary of State, told the French Ambassador in Washington, Hervé Alphand, on April 30, that their investigations into supposed contacts between the rebel generals and Americans "have shed no light." Rusk also told Alphand that "if they [contacts between Americans and the rebel generals] had actually occurred, they would have been contrary to the interests and policies of the United States." Jauvert writes: (page 197 - 198) Alphand wrote the Foreign Minister that, according to Kennedy, "the CIA is a machine so vast and so poorly understood that the most improbable maneuvers can be true. The most improbable maneuvers ..." Jauvert finds Rusk's words "if they had actually occurred," to signify something very important. "In other words, the very young Kennedy administration is not very sure of the CIA, that it does not control well." (page 197) [in French: "S'ils s'etaient effectivement produits", dit Rusk a Alphand ... Autrement dit, la toute jeune administration Kennedy n'est pas tres sure de la CIA, qu'elle ne controle pas bien.] So, is Talbot quoting Kennedy or is he just quoting Jauvert? In fact, we can't even be sure of Kennedy's actual quote. All we know is what Alphand wrote to the French Foreign Minister. And that is very different from what is alleged in JFK Revisited. Kennedy did not tell Alphand that he is not in control of his government. He did not tell Alphand that he is not in control of the CIA. All we have is an admission that the CIA is very big, and you never know when someone somewhere may have said something. Some of this comes from the intentions of the French to differentiate JFK from the CIA. (page 419 of Talbot): As Paris officials knew, the new American president already had something of a prickly relationship with de Gaulle, but he had strong feelings for France — and they made sure to absolve JFK of personal responsibility for the coup in their leaks to the press. French press accounts referred to the CIA as a “reactionary state-within-a-state” that operated outside of Kennedy’s control. And this sort of talk hit the New York Times of May 2, 1961: The rumors, which include at least one written report circulating here, repeated speculations in the French press, a dispatch from Washington to the Tunisian weekly Afrique-Action and widespread speculation in Left-wing circles, boil down to this: President Kennedy is said to have reacted as he did because he had learned of encouragement to the mutineers by the Central Intelligence Agency, which is said to have become a reactionary state-within-a-state in the United States. The New York Times also noted: The speculation does take cognizance of the fact that former Gen. Challe spent nearly a year as a North Atlantic Treaty Organization commander at the Fontainebleau headquarters, near here. He undoubtedly heard frequent criticism of President de Gaulle by Allied officers who disagreed with his policies on NATO. The possibility is cited that M. Challe was guilty of wishful thinking and believed the attitudes of the military leaders reflected the political thinking of the Allied government. In fact, Kennedy was not happy about the rumors regarding the CIA. Irwin Wall notes: (page 242 of France, the United States, and the Algerian War ) Kennedy was so irritated at continued French charges of CIA complicity with the insurrection that he considered calling off his June 1961 trip to Paris. Perhaps we will get a better idea of the source of the quote in JFK Revisited when James DiEugenio publishes the script of the film. Until then, a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted. - A Look Back at Clay Shaw's Trial
Clay Shaw outside the courtroom Baton Rouge Advocate, February 27, 1994 Some highlights: Dave Snyder, a reporter for the New Orleans States-Item said "In the beginning, like everybody else, I thought he must have some serious witnesses. After a while, I began to thing that this was just a real sham. By the time the trial came about, I was convinced there was no conspiracy and Garrison didn't have a damn thing." Columnist John McMillan, a columnist for newspapers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, said: "I used to like to tease him [Garrison] a lot. He announced that they had solved the investigation: 'We said, as Virgil did, let the truth be known though the heavens may fall.' McMillan replied, "Virgil who, Mr. Garrison.?" Snyder had this to say about Garrison's witnesses: "What I remember is all of the witnesses were terrible, the DA's witnesses. We marveled that he would have the guts to put people like Spiesel, and Russo on the stand. Then, when Russo said he had been given truth serum and hypnotized, it was just amazing stuff. I was just amazed at the terrible quality of the witnesses. He had a bunch of nuts." Jack Wardlaw, a reporter for the New Orleans States-Item had this to say: "I was distinctly unimpressed with the Warren Report, so I kind of hoped that Garrison did have something. But it just became more and more evident that there wasn't any substance to it. I was in the courtroom when (assistant district attorney) Al Oser said, "The state rests," and I just couldn't believe that they had brought that thing to trial when they had absolutely no evidence." McMillan said Garrison's case was "one of the biggest abuses of judicial power in the history of the country." He concludes "there may have been conspiracy, but I'll tell you one thing: Jim Garrison didn't know a damn thing about it if there was." New Orleans States-Item, February 17, 1969
- Is this the Smoking Gun that ties Oswald to Ferrie and Shaw?
Yup, here it is! Courtesy of the Malcolm Blunt archive (found in the David Ferrie folder in the New Orleans -Louisiana section) Ok, there must be a few conspiracy theorists who will believe this, no? Well, Joan Mellen did mention this in her book, A Farewell to Justice: (Page 40) "In the 1980s, a retired Louisiana state trooper named Norbert A. Gurtner told the FBI that, shortly before the assassination, he was copilot with David Ferrie on a Beech D-18 flight from New Orleans Lakefront Airport to New Orleans Moisant and on to Love Field, Dallas. None of the passengers carried baggage. Nor did Ferrie introduce Gurtner to any of them. Gurtner identified Lee Harvey Oswald and Clay Shaw, and a young man named Perry Russo as passengers, and while this configuration demands pause, Gurtner’s revelation, apparently without an ulterior motive, should be noted. Gurtner said he was willing to take a polygraph if the FBI had any interest. It hadn’t." Paul Hoch's essay on evaluating evidence has some clues on how to treat this document: I suspect that a useful measure of the plausibility of an allegation could be derived from the percentage of well-known names. If a source claims to have met with David Ferrie, Allen Dulles, and Fidel Castro in Jack Ruby's nightclub, I'll go on to the next document. Any post-Garrison story with Clay Shaw in it starts with a heavy burden of skepticism to overcome. I now put Roscoe White in the same category. - Washington Post on the 30th Anniversary of Oliver Stone's "JFK"
Cartoon from the George Lardner story, On the Set in Dallas in Wonderland, In the Washington Post, May 19. 1991. A very good piece about Oliver Stone's film JFK: "It is significant that both “JFK” and the World Wide Web were launched in 1991, setting them on a mutual trajectory that now feels eerily inevitable (the movie’s digressive structure uncannily mirrored a then-novel phenomenon called “hypertext”). “JFK” did not invent alternative facts, deepfakes or Deep State paranoia. But its form and content surely anticipated them, and helped usher in an era when audiences would increasingly accept them as reality." I was interviewed for this article, but unfortunately my quote got cut in the editing process. But I am delighted that the Washington Post quoted my friend Alecia Long: "In her book “Cruising for Conspirators,” Louisiana State University history professor Alecia P. Long examines the Shaw case through the lens of anti-gay bias that permeated American and New Orleans culture in the early 1960s. “There was a homophobic cultural belief about the dastardly nature of homosexual men — that they were sneaky and conspiring — that made [Garrison’s] case easier to make,” she says. In “JFK,” Tommy Lee Jones portrays Shaw as a haughty eccentric with lurid sexual proclivities; in one of the film’s most outlandish scenes Shaw, covered in gold body paint, joins assassination conspirators at a sybaritic all-male orgy. Although there is a plaque in New Orleans’s French Quarter honoring Shaw for his work as a preservationist and arts patron, for those who came of age with “JFK” he will always be a man snorting amyl nitrate and plotting to kill a president. “Prejudicial beliefs about sexuality greased the wheels of Garrison’s investigation,” Long says, “and they also drive the narrative in ‘JFK.’ ” Hornaday likes JFK but: "Decades later, I still admire “JFK,” even if I am more dubious about Stone’s choice of Garrison as a protagonist, and his pejorative portrayal of Shaw. I am also far less cavalier about portrayals of individuals like Johnson, who makes such a convenient scapegoat in Stone’s Manichean world of good and evil. In a movie so devoted to detail — right down to period-correct box labels in the Texas School Book Depository — more nuance and ambiguity would have only strengthened Stone’s narrative. An appreciation of “JFK’s” artistry demands acknowledgment of the uncomfortable truth that one of cinema’s most eloquent meditations on the abuse of power itself celebrates the abuse of power, albeit in another form." Here is the plaque honoring Clay Shaw on Governor Nicholls Street in New Orleans: If you haven't bought Alecia Long's book, what are you waiting for. Click here to buy a copy! - Max Boot on Oliver Stone's Lies
Historian Max Boot has a very good opinion piece in the Washington Post. "What the hell happened to Oliver Stone? When I was growing up in the 1980s, he was one of the most respected directors in Hollywood, producing hits such as “Platoon,” “Wall Street” and “Born on the Fourth of July.” But in more recent decades, he has become a dollar-store Leni Riefenstahl, churning out sickening tributes to Fidel Castro, Hugo Chávez and Vladimir Putin. His shift toward demagoguery and dishonesty seems to have begun in 1991 with “JFK,” quite possibly the most deceitful film ever produced by a major Hollywood studio. It posited a vast conspiracy to kill President John F. Kennedy by everyone from the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the CIA to Lyndon B. Johnson. The only person who was innocent of the crime, the movie seemed to suggest, was the actual assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald." Boot takes exception with the premise of JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass, that JFK was going to bring peace to the world: "Stone’s theory is that Kennedy was a peacenik who was going to end the Cold War and put the military-industrial complex out of business. He never tells viewers that, on the day before his death, Kennedy gave a speech in Fort Worth boasting that he had increased the defense budget “by over 20 percent.” The military-industrial complex was prospering quite nicely, thank you, in the early 1960s. By contrast, defense spending fell in the early 1990s, after the end of the Cold War, by 23 percent. It’s a wonder that the military-industrial complex allowed Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton to live." [Note: JFK gave that Fort Worth speech on November 22, 1963] Here is an excerpt from that speech: "In the past 3 years we have increased the defense budget of the United States by over 20 percent; increased the program of acquisition for Polaris submarines from 24 to 41; increased our Minuteman missile purchase program by more than 75 percent; doubled the number of strategic bombers and missiles on alert; doubled the number of nuclear weapons available in the strategic alert forces; increased the tactical nuclear forces deployed in Western Europe by over 60 percent; added five combat ready divisions to the Army of the United States, and five tactical fighter wings to the Air Force of the United States; increased our strategic airlift capability by 75 percent; and increased our special counter-insurgency forces which are engaged now in South Viet-Nam by 600 percent. I hope those who want a stronger America and place it on some signs will also place those figures next to it. This is not an easy effort. This requires sacrifice by the people of the United States. But this is a very dangerous and uncertain world. As I said earlier, on three occasions in the last three years the United States has had a direct confrontation. No one can say when it will come again. No one expects that our life will be easy, certainly not in this decade, and perhaps not in this century. But we should realize what a burden and responsibility the people of the United States have borne for so many years. Here, a country which lived in isolation, divided and protected by the Atlantic and the Pacific, uninterested in the struggles of the world around it, here in the short space of 18 years after the Second World War, we put ourselves, by our own will and by necessity, into defense of alliances with countries all around the globe. Without the United States, South Viet-Nam would collapse overnight. Without the United States, the SEATO alliance would collapse overnight. Without the United States the CENTO alliance would collapse overnight. Without the United States there would be no NATO. And gradually Europe would drift into neutralism and indifference. Without the efforts of the United States in the Alliance for Progress, the Communist advance onto the mainland of South America would long ago have taken place." JFK did not live to deliver these paragraphs from his Dallas speech: "Nor can Europe or any other continent rely on nuclear forces alone, whether they are strategic or tactical. We have radically improved the readiness of our conventional forces – increased by 45 percent the number of combat ready Army divisions, increased by 100 percent the procurement of modern Army weapons and equipment, increased by 100 percent our ship construction, conversion, and modernization program, increased by 100 percent our procurement of tactical aircraft, increased by 30 percent the number of tactical air squadrons, and increased the strength of the Marines. As last month's "Operation Big Lift" – which originated here in Texas – showed so clearly, this Nation is prepared as never before to move substantial numbers of men in surprisingly little time to advanced positions anywhere in the world. We have increased by 175 percent the procurement of airlift aircraft, and we have already achieved a 75 percent increase in our existing strategic airlift capability. Finally, moving beyond the traditional roles of our military forces, we have achieved an increase of nearly 600 percent in our special forces – those forces that are prepared to work with our allies and friends against the guerrillas, saboteurs, insurgents and assassins who threaten freedom in a less direct but equally dangerous manner. But American military might should not and need not stand alone against the ambitions of international communism. Our security and strength, in the last analysis, directly depend on the security and strength of others, and that is why our military and economic assistance plays such a key role in enabling those who live on the periphery of the Communist world to maintain their independence of choice. Our assistance to these nations can be painful, risky and costly, as is true in Southeast Asia today. But we dare not weary of the task. For our assistance makes possible the stationing of 3-5 million allied troops along the Communist frontier at one-tenth the cost of maintaining a comparable number of American soldiers. A successful Communist breakthrough in these areas, necessitating direct United States intervention, would cost us several times as much as our entire foreign aid program, and might cost us heavily in American lives as well." Of course, I am not making the argument that JFK would have sent in half a million ground troops to Vietnam. We just don't know what JFK would have done when confronted with a deteriorating situation in southeast Asia. - First Garrison Interview with Reverend Raymond Broshears
Reverend Raymond Broshears was a gay rights activist in San Francisco. He was also an incredible fabulist, and for a brief period of time, captured the attention of Jim Garrison. He was flown out to New Orleans and was interviewed several times. He literally told them everything! Bill Turner asked Steve Burton to interview Raymond Broshears. Here are the highlights of the memo: Broshears claims he was an "intimate friend" of David Ferrie's from late August 1965 until late 1966. This is extremely dubious - when Stephen Roy, the biographer of David Ferrie, spoke to Broshears, he found that he didn't even know the layout of Ferrie's apartment. I am not surprised Burton wrote that "he [Broshears] sometimes injects his opinions in addition to what FERRIE told him." Broshears tells Burton that Garrison was harassing Ferrie in 1965-1966 (Garrison's probe only started in October 1966) and that "he believes that Garrison drove FERRIE to suicide." But we know that Ferrie did not commit suicide; he died from natural causes. Broshears responded to Shaw's supposed pseudonym of "Alton Bernard," and called him "Bernie." Of course, Alton Bernard was made up by Clyde Johnson. Broshears says that he never met Edgar Eugene Bradley but that he was "insane" and a "liar." He also told Burton that Bradley was in Dallas on November 22, 1963, but, in fact, Bradley was in El Paso on the day JFK was assassinated. Broshears said that Tippit was supposed to kill Oswald, and that Oswald had slept with David Ferrie. He claimed that the Minutemen, the John Birch Society, the CIA and Lyndon Johnson were behind the assassination. Right after the assassination, Broshears alleged, a "light plane" took off from Arlington, Texas headed for Mexico, but it crashed. Burton tended to believe him despite the fact that Broshears said that Lady Bird Johnson owned the Carousel Club. It is indeed bewildering that Broshears was brought to New Orleans for further questioning. He held nothing back and spouted a variety of nonsense. Not surprisingly, he was not a witness at the Clay Shaw trial. You can read all of his stories in the links below. Raymond Broshears is one of the witnesses cited by James DiEugenio in his book Destiny Betrayed. You can read more about Raymond Broshears here. - "JFK Revisited" Misleads on Valery Giscard D'Estaing
Oliver Stone's so-called documentary, JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass, alleges that Gerald Ford disclosed to French President Valery Giscard D'Estaing that the JFK assassination was a conspiracy. Screen shot from JFK Revisited Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (1:05:54) Dr. Cyril Wecht: As I recall, they said about Gerald Ford that he could not chew gum and walk at the same time. Now all of a sudden, he becomes a forensic pathologist, and a photographer, and a criminalist, and an expert, and he knows where the bullet hole was and he moved it up. Whoopi Goldberg: But then in 1979, the House Select Committee moved it lower in the back because they had pictures from the autopsy. It is conceivable that, at the time, the Warren Commission thought no one would ever see the autopsy photos. When the review board declassified the notations showing what Ford had done, the former commissioner replied that it had nothing to do with a conspiracy theory. He was only trying to be more precise. [Please have a look at my post on the back wound] Whoopi Goldberg: This is directly contradicted by a conversation Ford had with French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing. Ford told him the assassination was not the work of one person. "It was something set up. We were sure it was set up. But we were not able to discover by whom." Did Gerald Ford really say this? It would be completely out of character and contradicts everything he said publicly for decades. Il me répond : ''Oui. Here is an English translation: On this official trip, I am greeted by President Gerald Ford, who was one of the members of the Warren Commission, charged with shedding light on the Kennedy assassination. As we make our way to Mount Vernon, the former home of President George Washington, I ask him if he has formed an opinion on this subject. He answers me: "Yes. We came to the conclusion that this assassination had been prepared. There was a conspiracy. But we weren't able to identify which organization sponsored it." This opinion, I share it. I was sure of this when, three years after this interview, I broached this issue with a very prominent New Orleans oil contractor with whom I was hunting in Scotland. Naively, I asked him, '' Do you know who murdered Kennedy? '' He answered bluntly: "Yes. It was not some mad, lone gunman who killed the President of the United States." Even Jefferson Morley finds this story hard to believe: "Perhaps Giscard simply misunderstood what Ford said. As Giscard showed in a 2016 appearance, his command of the language is decent but he is not entirely comfortable speaking English." In another version of the story, the words "nous avons abouti a une premiere conclusion." which might mean an initial conclusion. One can easily see how this all could have been misinterpreted. It wasn't the only story he told about someone who was now dead: "He also once told this Washington Post reporter that when Mitterrand was on his death bed, he had admitted to Mr. Giscard: “The only way we could beat you was to destroy you” with fabricated scandal." This is exactly the sort of story that JFK Revisited writer James DiEugenio likes - the single-sourced anecdote about somebody no longer alive. He wrote in his review of my book, I Was a Teenage JFK Conspiracy Freak: "When asked if Oswald was the actual killer, he [J. Edgar Hoover] replied with, “If I told you what I really know, it would be very dangerous to this country. Our whole political system could be disrupted.” (James DiEugenio, Destiny Betrayed, Second Edition, p. 246)" The actual source is Anthony Summers book Official and Confidential: The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover. Summers quoted Billy Bryars, a student who had a conversation with Hoover in the summer of 1964. But, did this really happen? Was Hoover perhaps thinking the Soviets were involved? Well, we don’t really know. DiEugenio tells a whopper of a story about Clay Shaw. An interior designer, Phil Dyer, met with Shaw in 1972 and said Shaw admitted that he not only knew Oswald fairly well, but that Oswald was a double agent. When this supposedly happened, Shaw was in the middle of his damages lawsuit against Jim Garrison. A strange time for a statement that could be used against him. Perhaps, Shaw was pulling his leg. Or, perhaps this never happened. DiEugenio is suspicious of just about anything the government does or says, but in this case, he finds no need for any skepticism. Indeed, DiEugenio says Dyer “certifies the defendant’s knowing perjury.” What makes this all surprising is that JFK Revisited makes a big deal out of the claim that much of the evidence would not be admissible in a trial of Lee Harvey Oswald. That supposition is certainly debatable. And yet, Oliver Stone's so-called documentary is full of hearsay, which would definitely not be admissible. - "JFK Revisited" Star Believes in a Massive COVID Conspiracy
Over the last two weeks, these two tweets by James DiEugenio, screenwriter of JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass, caught my eye. Here is a link to the article written by Ed Curtin about Robert Kennedy Jr.'s new book. Here are some excerpts from that review: "For anyone who doubts that the Covid-19 crisis is an intelligence-run operation controlled by spooks working with medical technocrats like Anthony Fauci, billionaires such as Bill Gates, the military, media, Big Pharma, the World Economic Forum, etc., a close reading of this book – with its 2,194 references – will disabuse one of that illusion." Wow! A conspiracy "controlled by spooks" working with Gates, Fauci, Big Pharma, etc. But, hey, the book has 2,194 footnotes, so it must be good. Curtin quotes from Kennedy's book: "After twenty years [since the insider anthrax attacks following September 11, 2001: see Graeme MacQueen’s, The 2001 Anthrax Deception (isbn.nu)] of modeling exercises, the CIA – working with medical technologists like Anthony Fauci and billionaire internet tycoons – had pulled off the ultimate coup d’état: some 250 years after America’s historic revolt against entrenched oligarchy and authoritarians rule, the American experiment with self-government was over. The oligarchy was restored, and these gentlemen and their spymasters had equipped the rising technocracy with new tools of control unimaginable to King George or any other tyrant." Insider anthrax attacks? The CIA had pulled off a coup d'etat? The conspiracy is big, very big: "The entire COVID-19 propaganda campaign, culminating with its push to enforce multiple vaccines that are not vaccines and are based on fraudulent PCR tests, has been long in preparation and the intelligence agencies’ fingerprints are all over its planning. War game scenarios, weaponized vaccines, the CIA, the NIH, Gates, Fauci, the NIAID, DARPA, Wired magazine, the financial elites and their power centers such as the World Economic Forum, etc. – they are all involved in a conspiracy to impose a rigid global tyranny over regular people for the benefit of the world’s super-rich. Even Wired magazine? I have to cancel my subscription! And Covid-19 is a military project: "U.S. and foreign intelligence agencies have dominated the COVID-19 military project from the start. The CIA and Fauci are central to the official “conspiracy theory” – accurately called fact – including “Operation Warp Speed” under Trump. Trump simply carried on the work of his predecessors, including Obama, but acted as if he was opposed to it. It has always been a bi-partisan program because the CIA runs both parties." Robert Kennedy, Jr. is one of the stars of Oliver Stone's so-called documentary, JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass. Since 2005 he has been promoting the theory that vaccines cause autism. Here is more about Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Lew Rockwell also has an interesting past. He used to work for Ron Paul, who published racist newsletters. You can read more about Ron Paul's newsletters here. "Martin Luther King Jr. earned special ire from Paul’s newsletters, which attacked the civil rights leader frequently, often to justify opposition to the federal holiday named after him. (“What an infamy Ronald Reagan approved it!” one newsletter complained in 1990. “We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.”) In the early 1990s, newsletters attacked the “X-Rated Martin Luther King” as a “world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours,” “seduced underage girls and boys,” and “made a pass at” fellow civil rights leader Ralph Abernathy. One newsletter ridiculed black activists who wanted to rename New York City after King, suggesting that “Welfaria,” “Zooville,” “Rapetown,” “Dirtburg,” and “Lazyopolis” were better alternatives. The same year, King was described as 'a comsymp, if not an actual party member, and the man who replaced the evil of forced segregation with the evil of forced integration.'" It's unclear how many newsletters Rockwell worked on. "This seems to be the big question in the libertarian blogosphere right now, in reaction to my piece about Ron Paul's newsletters. Some people "in the know" are implying that it's Llewellyn H. Rockwell Jr., Paul's former chief of staff and the founder of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Rockwell is listed as a "contributing editor" of The Ron Paul Investment Letter, but when I interviewed him last week for the story, he denied ghostwriting material in Paul's newsletters. He said that he was "involved in the promotion" of the newsletters, as well as, "writing the subscription letters" (maybe he wrote this ditty [PDF]?) and "writing mailing lists." Rockwell told me that there were "seven or eight freelancers involved at various stages" of the newsletter's history. When I asked him who was in charge of the editing and publishing of the newsletters, Rockwell got cryptic. "The person who was in charge is now long gone ... He left in unfortunate circumstances." Ultimately, however, Rockwell says his role was 'just to bring the money in.'" There seems to be a confluence of the extreme left, who believe the CIA to be the embodiment of all evil, and the Trumpist right who believe the deep state is the source of evil. God help us all. - "JFK Revisited" alleges Oswald was "placed"
Oliver Stone's so-called documentary, JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass, alleges that Lee Harvey Oswald was 'moved' to Dallas and then 'placed' in the Texas School Book Depository. (1:25:55) Paul Bleau: Oswald, as we know, was moved from New Orleans to Dallas In October to be there, just at the right time, for the motorcade. And he's placed in a tall building where he gets a job. He's adjacent to the perfect kill zone. I guess we will have to wait for the 'book of the film' to find out the sources for these statements. Oswald clearly has no agency - someone moved him and placed him. But who did this? And how do we know? JFK Revisited makes it seem like this is common knowledge. While a JFK trip to Texas was first broached within the White House in June 1963, it was only announced in the Dallas Morning News on September 26, 1963: But Ruth Paine drove Marina Oswald and her daughter to Irving, Texas on September 23rd. So the decision to move the family to Texas was made before the White House had announced JFK's trip. Oswald probably left New Orleans for Mexico City on September 25th. Oswald started work at the Texas School Book Depository on October 16th, which is well before plans were announced for the motorcade. When Oswald showed up for work, Roy Truly could have easily sent him to work at the other warehouse at 1917 Houston Street. Here is an excerpt from Roy Truly's testimony before the Warren Commission: Secret Service agents Forrest Sorrells and Winton Lawson, who were in charge of advance preparations for Kennedy's trip to Dallas, were only informed of the trip on November 4th. Lawson received a tentative schedule from Roy Kellerman on November 8, 1963. The HSCA added this: Mr. Bleau implies a conspiracy so big that my mind just reels. Extraordinary statements require extraordinary evidence. JFK Revisited likes the former but not so much the latter. - Two Reasons why Clay Shaw Never Admitted to being a Domestic Contact of the CIA
Clay Shaw testified at his trial that he had never worked for the CIA. Irvin Dymond: Mr. Shaw, have you ever worked for the Central Intelligence Agency? Clay Shaw: No, I have not. Dymond was Clay Shaw's trial attorney. The prosecution did not ask any questions relating to the CIA. Since Clay Shaw was not paid by the CIA, one can clearly see that, in a very common sense, Shaw was telling the truth. The CIA was not his employer. We know that Clay Shaw did not work for the CIA. He was just a domestic contact. But, when Clay Shaw was interviewed on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in the fall of 1967, he clearly lied: (1:17:06 in the so-called Oliver Stone documentary JFK Revisited) CBC Reporter: You have never yourself had any CIA connection? Clay Shaw: None whatsoever. CBC reporter: Any association with that organization? Clay Shaw: Nope, None. Now, why would Clay Shaw lie about this? Here is a CIA document that offers an explanation: So the CIA "enjoined him to secrecy" regarding his relationship. It's interesting to note that Shaw did not even discuss this with his attorneys, despite what the CIA thought. Clay Shaw was a patriotic American who provided information to the CIA. He honored the requirement to keep that secret. Had he broken his oath of secrecy, he understood that Garrison could have ... no, would have taken it all out of context. You can see that from Clay Shaw's attempt at writing a book. Here is the start of a chapter: (from the Clay Shaw papers at the National Archives in Maryland) This quote from the second page of Shaw's text is telling: "It is, in short, the most un-American of activities, and the average American has a most ambivalent attitude toward it. Of course, everyone knows and admits, that as long as the other great powers, particularly Russia, maintain intelligence systems, we must do the same. And yet, most of us consider the CIA with abhorence [sic], and a man who works for it, is considered not a patriot serving his country but as a kind of E. Phillips Oppenheim villain ... a somewhat sinister James Bond." American attitudes towards the CIA in 1967 were much different than attitudes in the late 1940s and 1950s. Clay Shaw understood this perfectly. And so Clay Shaw respected his commitment to secrecy about his connection to the CIA, and at the same time, understood that that that information, in the hands of Jim Garrison, would put him in serious jeopardy. He made the wise choice. Previous Relevant Blog Post Was Clay Shaw a "Contract Agent" for the CIA? Oliver Stone's so-called documentary makes the claim that Clay Shaw was a "contract agent" for the CIA. The evidence shows otherwise.
