Paul Bleau Chokes, Part 6

Updated: Mar 3

The FBI Summary Report

Bleau Assertion:

He writes that the FBI Summary Report concluded that Connally's and Kennedy's "wounds were caused by three separate bullets" and that "This preliminary scientific finding, which obliterates the Single Bullet Theory (ergo a lone gunman), can be found on page 8 of the FBI summary report prepared in December 1963." (page 41)

What Bleau Doesn't Tell You

This was a preliminary FBI report given to the Warren Commission in early December, 1963. The report covered Oswald and Ruby, and says little about the actual shooting. To use this as proof that the single bullet theory is wrong is disingenuous.

Bleau references page 8, and here is the relevant paragraph:

It says, "two bullets struck President Kennedy, and one wounded Governor Connally." This is actually correct. It doesn't specifically say that separate bullets hit them.

Further it was not meant as a final report and right up front the report notes that "We are continuing to receive leads concerning Oswald and, consequently, at the conclusion of the report, it is stated this investigation will continue in order to resolve them." The last page of Volume I of this report states "the intensive investigation of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is continuing." And the last page of Volume V notes "The investigation will continue until every possible source of pertinent information has been exhausted."

Bleau will also not tell his readers about this memo:

Belmont writes to Tolson that although a preliminary report on the assassination will be available on November 29th, "The investigation ... will continue, because we are receiving literally hundreds of allegations regarding the activities of Oswald and Ruby ... "
