- Permindex Was Not a CIA Front
Here is an interview of me that Chris Peeks conducted about Permindex, CMC, and Clay Shaw. Permindex was a company incorporated in Switzerland to manage real estate. The founder of Permindex, George Mantello, had an idea -- to try and set up a permanent commercial exhibition hall in Basel. There was already an industrial fair in Basel and he was met with a lot of local opposition. Ultimately, the local council agreed that Permindex go ahead with its project, but they had to agree to build a 200-room hotel. Unfortunately, they couldn't raise the money, and decided to go to Rome with the same idea. They had to incorporate locally, and so they set up CMC -- Centro Mondiale Commerciale. They never could find enough tenants to make it fly and they shut CMC down in 1962. In the conspiracy books, Permindex/CMC is painted as a company that was used by the CIA to funnel money to right-wing extremists. There is absolutely no evidence to back this up -- and the only source for these allegations was the Communist newspaper Paese Sera. - Was Jack Ruby Injected with Cancer?
On a recent podcast with Trey Elling, James DiEugenio brings up the possibility that Jack Ruby was injected with cancer. Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (1:17:38) James DiEugenio: So, one of the appeals grounds that Phil Burleson, who was on the original defense team, appealed on was that the judge made a mistake in not changing the venue, all right. Well, the appeals court ended up agreeing with that ground and they granted Ruby a new trial. So, what happens a month later (laughter), a month later, what happens is that Ruby in the space of a few weeks, okay, goes from bad to worse and he dies of cancer, okay, while he's in the Dallas Police lockup, all right. Now many people, including Norman Mailer, is one of them, you know, wonder was that just a coincidence or did they just not want to give Ruby a trial in a more fair venue. You know, with a different way to uh uh somehow formulate what really happened that day, you know. And you and you really do have to wonder, there's been a lot of research done on more than one person about the possibility of injecting somebody with cancer, okay, and some scientists tend to agree that you can, you know. Of course, we're never gonna know but the presence of Jolly West, you know, in Ruby's cell I think raises some, let us say provocative questions, about what happened to Jack Ruby, you know, and why on earth you would ever let West in there, you know, is really kind of mind-boggling. Louis Jolyon West was a psychiatrist who interviewed Jack Ruby in 1964. In the 1950s, he was involved with the MK-Ultra program. A future blog post will look at conspiracy allegations related to West. The theory that Jack Ruby was injected with cancer is not new. Jim Marrs has an entire section in his book, Crossfire, on "The Sudden Death of Jack Ruby." One of the earliest mentions of the allegation was in the Morning Sentinel (Maine) of January 19, 1967: Oliver Stone wrote a scene in JFK in which Ruby gets an injection, but it didn't make the final cut (although it is a deleted scene on the DVD/Blu-Ray): (Page 60 in JFK: The Documented Screenplay) MEDICAL UNIT - JAIL - DAY (1966) Jack Ruby, thick fudge of an angry face, flu-ridden, confronts a doctor and two guards in his cell. RUBY: Christ, what the hell kinda needle is that? I just got a cold for Chrissake. I don’t want any shot! DOCTOR: Please relax, Mr. Ruby. This’ll calm you down and clear this up. RUBY: Doc, I’m telling you, I don’t need any shots. DOCTOR: Mr. Ruby, I don’t want to involve the guards. It’ll just take a few seconds. Ruby looks over at the two guards, who eye him. The Doctor gives him the injection. Here is Ruby's death certificate: Even Dr. Cyril Wecht believes this is impossible. Here is an excerpt from his book The JFK Assassination Dissected: (Page 168) I’ve been asked many times whether I believe Ruby was injected with some sort of “fast-acting cancer-causing drug,” or cancer cells themselves, by people who wanted to silence him permanently. My answer has always been the same: Not a chance. First, I have never heard of a fast-acting, cancer-causing drug. Perhaps some evil genius has created a potion, but in the more than 60,000 death cases I’ve investigated, I’ve never encountered any such substance. But even back in 1963, if there were a researcher with knowledge and experience in biomedical weaponry, and who had access to Ruby, would any possible gain from dosing and killing him be worth the risk of being caught in the act? Second, Ruby’s primary cancer was in his lungs and spread outward to his organs. At autopsy, Ruby’s brain, alone, had 15 tumors. All of that takes an amount of time to manifest and could mean he didn’t have regular doctor visits when the symptoms first arose. Whether that was before JFK’s assassination or during his time in jail, I can’t say—but no doctor testified or was mentioned as having treated him for anything prior to his hospitalization. Third, although Ruby was not a smoker, he spent a lot of time in his nightclubs during a time when people smoked like chimneys. Ruby’s lung cancer might well have been from secondhand smoke. Of course, sometimes people who are nonsmokers and never around smokers develop and die of lung cancer. It’s a pernicious disease. Fourth, no one needed to stop Ruby from talking because he had no intention of doing so. Ruby’s overweening desire was to control the spotlight that was on him, while making sure it did not shine on anything he wanted to keep in the dark. He got into his mind that he could pass any polygraph test and likely expected that would affect the way the public, and hopefully a new jury, would see him. Whether that was arrogance or ignorance, or both, I don’t know. But it actually worked, to a degree. - 5-Star Review of "Oliver Stone's Film-Flam: The Demagogue of Dealey Plaza"
Here is a thoughtful review: Deflating Oliver Stone’s Whoopi Cushion! A review of Fred Litwin’s “Oliver Stone's Film-Flam: The Demagogue of Dealey Plaza” “Oliver Stone's Film-Flam: The Demagogue of Dealey Plaza” is Fred Litwin’s detailed, 2022 rebuttal to Oliver Stone and James DiEugenio’s 2021 “JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass.” Litwin, an early advocate of the conspiracy hypothesis, watched and was impressed by Oliver Stone’s cinematic skills in his seminal, 1991 movie “JFK.” Then Fred read Gerald Posner’s “Case Closed” -- one of the early (1993), thorough analyses that convinced Fred that virtually all of the popular, speculative, conspiracy theories were fallacious – based on little or no compelling evidence. Although imperfect, and rushed to completion in 10 months, the Warren Commission got it right: Oswald alone fired 3 shots at JFK from the Texas School Book Depository; one missed, one struck JFK and John Connally (the “magic bullet”), and one tore through the right hemisphere of Kennedy’s skull. In 2018, Fred wrote a book documenting his transformation: “I Was a Teenage JFK Conspiracy Freak.” Litwin is a prodigious blogger. If you visit his website and read his commentaries and books, you will understand the depth of his research and profound knowledge of the JFK assassination. In 2020, Fred authored and published “On the Trail of Delusion: Jim Garrison: The Great Accuser.” His extensive, ongoing research has made Litwin an authority on Oswald’s activities – especially in New Orleans. “Oliver Stone’s Film-Flam” is his 4th book. Fred Litwin is complex, highly intelligent, and eclectic -- a 67-year-old Canadian, openly gay, Jewish, and politically conservative. Mr. Litwin’s interesting biography can be found on the Internet. If you study Litwin’s writings, you will understand the depth of his granular research into the JFK conspiracy theories. His detractors, including James DiEugenio, are dogmatic conspiracists and avoid debating the hundreds of specific issues he raises. They tend to prefer long-winded, vitriolic, ad hominem assaults. They refer to those who disagree with their conspiracy theories as “lone nutters.” Conspiracists, like Stone and DiEugenio, studiously ignore the massive body of direct and circumstantial evidence that Oswald was the lone assassin. Subsequent research – not part of the Warren Commission investigation – developed overwhelming evidence that, shortly after Oswald assassinated JFK, he put a bullet in the head of Dallas Police officer, J. D. Tippit. Before his successful assassination of JFK in November of 1963, Oswald attempted to assassinate (right-wing) Major General Edwin Walker on April 10, 1963. Oswald was a malevolent, loose cannon – a lone wolf – a rogue wave. So, what will readers learn from Fred Litwin’s “Oliver Stone’s Film-Flam: The Demagogue of Dealey Plaza”? Here are a very few captioned examples from the book’s 46 chapters. Each chapter examines -- and then eviscerates -- a specific conspiratorial assertion in the Stone / DiEugenio mythology: Stone and DiEugenio are filmmakers and promoters; they are not independent, unbiased researchers or historians. They created and marketed their films and books from the disparate and fanciful theories of other JFK conspiracists. They are part of the JFK conspiracy “cottage industry.” Virtually all of their ersatz “evidence” of a conspiracy is either fabricated, ambiguous, misrepresented, uncorroborated, unverifiable, or provably false. Many of the witnesses to JFK’s wounds in Dallas and Bethesda had vague or mistaken and changing memories. For example, Dr. Charles Crenshaw’s recollections are not credible. The chain of possession and authenticity of the “magic bullet” (CE-399) are established beyond a reasonable doubt. The fantasy that the Secret Service and FBI participated in planting CE-399 into evidence is preposterous. David Mantik was wrong; Secret Service Agent Elmer Todd’s initials are on the nose of CE-399. The fantastic claim that JFK’s brain was substituted to conceal a shot from the front is disproven, as is the assertion that the autopsy x-rays and photographs were altered. The assertion that Oswald’s rifle was planted in the TSBD is absurd. There was no hole in the windshield of JFK’s limousine. The stellate defect was on the inside, glass surface of the windshield, consistent with a fragment from the headshot from the rear, not the grassy knoll. The backyard photo (admittedly taken by Marina Oswald) of Oswald holding the rifle he used to assassinate JFK is authentic and unaltered. Oswald claimed it was fake. He lied. Admiral Burkley, JFK’s personal physician, was not involved in any coverup. Litwin dedicates his book to the late Admiral Burkley – defamed by Stone and DiEugenio. The CIA did not force LBJ to put Allen Dulles on the Warren Commission. The conclusions of the Warren Commission were not preordained by conspirators. The HSCA found only 20 of 171 witnesses that thought a shot may have come from the grassy knoll. Only 4 of the 171 witnesses mentioned shots emanating from multiple locations. Dealey Plaza was an echo chamber. The wound in the back of JFK’s skull was an entry wound, not an exit wound. The famous “Harper fragment” was parietal, not occipital. It was found in the grass, well forward of JFK when he received the headshot – consistent with a shot from the Texas School Book Depository and impossible with a shot from the grassy knoll. Jack Ruby’s personal motives for killing Oswald had nothing to do with a conspiracy to kill JFK and silence Oswald. Oswald wasn’t a fake defector working for the CIA. There is no credible evidence of a JFK assassination conspiracy in Chicago or Tampa before Dallas. David Ferrie was not a pilot for the CIA. Stone and DiEugenio show fake Oswald handbills purporting to connect Oswald to Guy Bannister’s office. Clay Shaw was never an “agent” of the CIA. Jim Garrison, Oliver Stone, and James DiEugenio destroyed his reputation. At the end of his book, in his Acknowledgements, Litwin mentions the contributions of Paul Hoch, Max Holland, W. Tracy Parnell, Gus Russo, Gerald Posner, David Von Pein, and many other fair-minded, and objective researchers. “Film-Flam” is massively documented. More than 20% of Litwin’s book is devoted to citations, endnotes, footnotes, and URLs that take the reader directly to the original documents and sources he references. Litwin lays his documented, evidentiary cards on the table – face up. Stone and DiEugenio use theatrical smoke, forged documents, anecdotal stories, faulty memories, and publicity seekers to promote their historical, mythical fiction. Litwin analogizes their deceit as “transubstantiation" – attempting to convert fabricated myth into historical truth. How fitting that they would choose “Whoopi Goldberg” as one of their principal narrators. [“Whoopi Goldberg” is not her real name; she is a high school dropout who is most famous for making outrageous, uninformed comments on an afternoon TV program called “The View.” Whoopi claimed that the Holocaust had nothing to do with racism!] Litwin quotes astronomer and author Carl Sagan who said, “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” Indeed. Doctrinaire conspiracists have failed to provide any serious evidence supporting their extraordinary claims of conspiracy. Here is another Sagan quote that conspiracists should heed: “It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.” I highly recommend Fred Litwin’s “Oliver Stone's Film-Flam: The Demagogue of Dealey Plaza.” It will become a classic and valuable resource for all serious JFK assassination researchers. Yes, it will be panned and vilified by the dogmatic, true-believer conspiracists. It threatens their cherished myth. - Thomas Samoluk on Richard Case Nagell
Thomas Samoluk, Deputy Director of the ARRB was recently interviewed by Robbie Robertson, on his show Out of the Blank. He had some interesting things to say about Richard Case Nagell. Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (33:34) Samoluk: You may know the name of Richard Case Nagell, a military intelligence officer. His name had been swirling around for many years. And you may know the author Dick Russell, who wrote the 700-page book on Richard Case Nagell, The Man Who Knew Too Much. And so we had been pondering that, although to be perfectly candid, I did not think that there was anything really there, relative to Richard Case Nagell, I thought that he was a troubled individual that may have said he was in possession of records and had knowledge of things that I didn't find credible, but we thought we had to pursue it. So, the general counsel for the review board, somehow we found, maybe one of our investigators, found an address that we could write to Richard Case Nagell, and sent the letter. And we thought, we were asking asking him if he would talk to us. And he was in Los Angeles. And a few days later, one late night, at the Review Board offices in Washington, I got a call from a researcher, who had been following what we were doing. He said, "you're not going to believe this, but a contact in law enforcement in LA, tells me the police have found Richard Case Nagell dead in his apartment." And the person who was calling me didn't know that we had sent a letter to Richard Case Nagell. So, you can imagine my reaction -- we just had sent the letter, it had been enough time for it to arrive, and now Richard Case Nagell is dead, at his apartment in L. A. So, it turned out it was a natural death. There was really, he was not in good health. But I again, packed up one pair of underwear and a deodorant and got on a flight to L. A. And we knew that Richard Case Nagell, had a niece -- may have been the only relative that he had. Somehow they had learned of his death. And they were, the niece, and I believe it was her fiance, were going to be out in LA. And we agreed, again, trying to work with them, we said, we, you can't take anything. And we have to be there with you, namely me, again, riding solo. And but we wanted to have some legal backup protection, in case there was not cooperation with the relatives, who I was going to meet at the apartment. And I was met at LAX by an Assistant US Attorney, with whom we had been in contact. And she had prepared a subpoena for me to use, if I, if I needed it, to serve upon the relatives, the niece and her fiance, if they were not cooperative with me, and of course, imagine them -- they're told that this federal agency dealing with assassination records is going to meet them in L. A. at the apartment. And, so they didn't know what they were in for. They later told me they thought it was gonna be, you know, three FBI agents in black suits, with, you know, nine mm. side-arms. And we're in for [unintelligible]. And there was, there was me, just me, showed up. And I was I was looking for cooperation, not confrontation. And they were cooperative. And we went together through all the records that were there. And, and some are in the archives. There wasn't much there. There wasn't much that was relevant. If I recall correctly. If I don't get this completely accurate, forgive me, because it's been a while since I've been day-to-day in in the record, so to speak. But Nagell had always talked about a trunk, full of records and relevant materials that he had. Well, we didn't find that trunk at his apartment, which by the way, wasn't in the best neighbourhood in L. A. He was down on his luck, not doing well. And it was a real bad neighbourhood near Dodger Stadium. So, that was a personal note that I wanted to add for me that the job was sometimes a little bit, a little bit scary what we were doing. But months later, I would guess it was, I got a call from the niece. They had found, somehow they found out that he had used a storage facility and he had some trunks there, that is Richard Case Nagell had some trunks. And they had them. So, I flew back out to California, and met them. And together, we went through the trunks. I don't recall that there was anything particularly relevant and whatever color the trunk that he had talked about, we never found a trunk of that color. So whether or not that adds to the mystery, what happened to that trunk? I don't think there was much to his story; some people might put more credence in it. As I said, Dick Russell wrote a 700-page book about him. But our point was, if there was records that were related to the assassination in any way, and rounded out the story or components, or theories that people had subscribed to, and we could access records, films, photos, then we should add them to the collection. That with Nagell was another instance where we did that. Samoluk realized that the Richard Case Nagell story was not credible. - Jeremy Gunn on Secret Records
I posted yesterday a video of Jeremy Gunn, Executive Director of the ARRB, delivering a speech in 2013 at the University of New England. In addition to his criticisms of Oliver Stone, Jim Garrison, and Fletcher Prouty, he also commented on the unreleased redactions in assassination records. Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (42:00) Jeremy Gunn: There were people whose names in the record had very little to do with the assassination itself. Sometimes we'd have records, such as a presidential briefing, where topics from the entire gamut of what the President is briefed on, are included in the record, but only one paragraph is on the assassination. We also had records where there's some things were rather unimportant. And what we did was to say that the postponement of the release of these records will continue until the year 2017, which I thought, well, that's going to be a long time from now. That's after we're all dead. Now it's coming up. I was asked when I was interviewed, last week, will I be very interested in seeing these last records and what they show about the Kennedy assassination? So, now we'll finally get it in 2017. I said, I've already seen those records. There isn't anything in there that I can identify. So, in some ways, the story of what is available in federal government records is for all practical purposes, revealed. There are some records that we've learned about subsequently, parts of the story that we didn't know, that there are still efforts to try to release them. I'm not expecting that there will be anything that will help answer the question of what really happened in Dealey Plaza, so, I'm expecting that we will continue to learn additional things in the future, but I am not expecting any major revelations in terms of what I saw. Don't wait until 2017 to learn the truth, it's not going to be there. Gunn says that "there isn't anything in there that I can identify." Here is a relevant quote from Vincent Bugliosi's Reclaiming History (pages 2,844 - 2,845) Most important to the suspicious and cynical, however, Judge Tunheim [Chairman of the ARRB] said that either he or another member of the Review Board has personally examined all of the redacted material, and there was “nothing in any of the documents that was central to the assassination. There’s no smoking gun, and no substantive information was protected and not released by way of redaction.” What they did protect and redact, he said, were such things as the names of intelligence agents, “who proved to us that there could be some harm to them by the release of their name,” methods of intelligence gathering back then that are still used today and not generally known, matters pertaining to presidential security, “and a very few cases involving personal privacy.” (Telephone interview of Judge John Tunheim by author on December 10, 1999) Judge Tunheim reiterated that at the Mary Ferrell press conference in December: Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (14:20) Tunheim: I've been encouraging the full release of everything that is remaining redacted in these files. This would be an important move for transparency and finality to the ordeal. And the information, what we redacted I've largely seen, it doesn't contain bombshells of any kind, but it is important to be able to tell the American people that everything has been released. As I have mentioned earlier, an ARRB staff member also examined the personnel file of George Joannides, and she found "no information relevant to the assassination." Right now, NARA is in the process of digitizing the JFK collection. This is important work - only a small fraction of HSCA documents are online. In fact, I'll be going to the College Park branch of NARA in April to retrieve some additional HSCA records. The truth is that we won't learn much about the assassination from the remaining redactions. We will learn more when all of the remaining, and currently public, documents are put online. I don't mean that the truth of the assassination will come out - but that we will learn more about the investigations. Additional documents will be put online by the end of June. I can predict what will happen. More documents will be put online with fewer redactions. There will be no major new revelations. There might still be some documents that contain redactions, and the Joannides personnel file might still be withheld. The griping will continue. Don't miss the Viewer's Guide to JFK: Destiny Betrayed and JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass. Over the past several months, I have shown in multiple blog posts how Oliver Stone's documentary series, JFK Revisited and JFK: Destiny Betrayed, misleads viewers. - Was Oswald an Agent of the CIA, Part Two
In December I posted an HSCA draft report on the question of whether Lee Harvey Oswald was a CIA agent. James DiEugenio tweeted as if he had not read my post. Obviously, James DiEugenio was taken by surprise -- he had never seen nor read this report. Here was his reply to Tracy Parnell posting my blog post on the Education Forum What is interesting is that the Lopez Report was written to be part of the Final Report of the HSCA. Here is Dan Hardway and Edwin Lopez speaking at a 2014 AARC conference: You can also watch directly on YouTube. The relevant segment is here. Here is an excerpt from a transcript: (1:07:32) Dan Hardway: That’s highly relevant today to what's going on with the Senate report [five-year Senate investigation of the CIA’s secret interrogations of terrorism suspects]; they did the very same thing to us. Eddie's report, the Lopez report, was -- was written to be part of the final report -- that is a draft section of the final report of the committee that never got released because the CIA did the same thing that they're now doing to the Senate Intelligence report. I believe this is true. You can see this in the part of the Lopez Report that mentions the report on Oswald and the CIA: (page 142) It mentions the report on the CIA "is detailed in another section of this final report." Another footnote is about the usage of the name Lee Henry Oswald: (page 39 of the footnotes) And, indeed a section of the Final Report deals with the name "Lee Henry": The authors of the Lopez Report were very much aware of what was in the draft of the final report on Oswald and the CIA. I don't know if they wrote it or not. Here is what I initially missed. The draft report on whether Oswald was an agent was edited and included in the Final Report of the HSCA. The language in the draft is very similar to the language in the final report. For instance, the draft report says: The Final Report says: Meanwhile, James DiEugenio continued with his story that this report was not released: Clearly, it was important to get some clarification from Dan Hardway and Edwin Lopez. Would they claim that they wrote a different study about Oswald and the CIA and came to different conclusions than the HSCA? If so, what was the basis for their conclusions? Why haven't they discussed this in the past? Indeed, Edwin Lopez wrote an essay on their work and he said this: So, no smoking guns! James DiEugenio now believes that the HSCA pulled a fast one: The HSCA Final Report has been public for several decades. The 'fast one' was only noticed because of a Fred Litwin post? Yeah, right! By the way, I reached out to Dan Hardway and I asked him "Is there another report asking whether Oswald was an Agent of the CIA? Did it have different conclusions?" His answer: "Not that I am aware of." I also sent an email to Ed Lopez but he did not reply. James DiEugenio owes us some answers - of course, on this issue, but also on the fake Oswald handbills used in JFK: Destiny Betrayed. - An American Danse Macabre
I wrote an article for my friend Terry Glavin's substack yesterday. This post is available to non-subscribers, so you can read the entire post on his site. Although I strongly recommend that you subscribe - Terry Glavin is one of Canada's finest journalists. Carlson went deeper into Lalaland last month on a January 19 segment, claiming that the CIA was behind the removal of President Richard Nixon, and that intelligence agencies also took down Nixon’s vice-president, Spiro Agnew. It was all a plot to put Gerald Ford in the Presidency, Carlson claimed, the same Gerald Ford who served on the Warren Commission which “absolved the CIA of responsibility” for President Kennedy’s murder. Carlson’s conspiracy theory even takes in Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, whose effort with colleague Carl Bernstein on the Watergate break-in story is widely credited with being the main work of journalism that led to Nixon’s resignation. Carlson pegs Woodward as a deep-state operative brought into the Post to carry out Nixon’s take-down. So, there you have it. The JFK conspiracy theory began with left-wingers who could never accept that a dashing young liberal president could have been assassinated by a leafleteer who set up his own Fair Play for Cuba Committee in the Deep South. In New York, the committee’s members included the philosopher Jean Paul Sartre, the novelists Norman Mailer and Truman Capote, and the peacenik poets Alan Ginsberg and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Now there are right-wingers who could never accept that Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election fair and square, so they’ve convinced themselves that the “deep state” must have been up to the devil’s work back in 1963, too. And they’ve made bedfellows of themselves with leftists who can’t accept that Ukrainians are engaged in a righteous defensive war against the invaders of Vladimir Putin’s genocidal war machine. And so here we are. Please Check Out: Grovelling at the feet of Le Grand Complotiste: A guest post, by Fred Litwin. Oliver Stone goes to Quebec City. - Like Father, Like Son?
This was a public service announcement from the 1960s. Oliver Stone's son is following in his footsteps: This year, Conscious Life is also introducing a brand-new and potentially controversial element: the Rabbit Hole Room, the programming of which will be totally devoted to what could fairly be termed conspiracy theories. Featured speakers include anti-vaccine heavyweight Del Bigtree, whose lecture is titled “Transmuting the Agenda”; he promises to “expose the fraud, lies, and various conflicts of interest that have allowed the pharmaceutical industry to evade safety testing for vaccines, and invade our Government and medical freedoms!” (Exclamation mark very much his.) Sean Stone, son of director Oliver Stone, is giving a talk about “the Great Awakening,” a term usually used in QAnon circles. New Age filmmaker Frank Jacob will speak about how the Large Hadron Collider at CERN is “being used to open portals to other dimensions in a timeline war.” Laura Eisenhower, the great-grandaughter of Dwight Eisenhower, will discuss how attendees can “de-weaponize the dark technologies that have been implemented upon us.” And Mikki Willis, the filmmaker behind the viral faux-documentary Plandemic, is premiering what appears to be a full version of the film, with a panel of unnamed experts of some sort to follow. I can't wait to hear more about "The Great Awakening." More about 'The Great Awakening" here (a description of a 2020 event): Dr Shala Kaleka, Permacare Village, @awarecollective, @awareevent are pleased to announce that legendary - Sean Stone, Writer/Actor/Producer and son of world-renowned U.S. Film Director Oliver Stone, will be hosting an informative talk titled the "The Great Awakening" this Friday, the 16th of October in Mudgeeraba at the PermaCare Village starting at 6pm. Sean stone brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will surely leave you feeling empowered to overcome a challenge or take on your next big endeavor. His message is to help guide us through the beginning of the great awakening of our third-eye to the multidimensional reality from 3D to 5D. This is a 1000 year journey of claiming our human sovereignty. And here is Sean Stone explaining "The Great Awakening." By the way, the New York Times published an article about the demise of RT America in May 2022: On one of the network’s last days, Sean Stone, a son of the filmmaker Oliver Stone and an RT America co-host, streamed in from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to criticize celebrities for speaking out against the invasion of Ukraine. On the show, “In Question,” he falsely said Oprah Winfrey had banned Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” from her book club. “We’re kidding ourselves if we think Putin is some kind of dictator,” Mr. Stone said. “We have similar types of corruption here in America.” Previous Blog Posts on Oliver Stone's Politics Oliver Stone is now in Alex Jones Territory! - The Decline of Guy Banister
At the time of the assassination, Guy Banister's was already on a downhill trajectory: Guy Banister's behavior was noted to be violent and erratic on numerous occasions during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In fact, in 1957 he lost his job as Assistant Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department when, while drinking, he pulled a gun on a waiter in a French Quarter bar; and on March 31, 1964, he was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault after allegedly brandishing a pistol at three youths on a city bus. Here is an article from the States-Item on the assault: David Reitzes brings up the issue of Banister's mental health: When Banister's suspension ended in June 1954, he was transferred to the NOPD's Planning Department. He refused the position and was fired. He subsequently opened his private detective agency, Guy Banister Associates. His physical and mental health were deteriorating, however, and the agency was unsuccessful. Banister was evicted from his office in June 1964 after being delinquent in his rent for nearly a year. He was in the process of moving into his mistress's home when he died of coronary thrombosis on June 6, 1964. "The firing had a great emotional effect on Guy," his sister-in-law told researcher A. J. Weberman. "I think that was sort of the beginning of Guy's end. He started drinking pretty heavy at that time, more so than usual, and he started having family problems. He left his wife, Mary Wortham, and moved out. We didn't see much of him. It was just sort of downhill from there on. Mary had Guy put in the hospital for observation, and some tests, and the doctor called Ross and me down there -- 'cause we were about the only family he had, and showed us a brain wave test that he had done. And the doctor said Guy had had a series of small strokes." Here is an excerpt from the HSCA deposition of Aaron Kohn, Managing Director of the Metropolitan Crime Commission of New Orleans: Richard Billings' diary has this about Guy Banister: Banister -- probably insane before he died . . . former assistant chief of police in New Orleans (?) . . . A violent man, heavy drinker . . . Went all the way down before he died (in either June or July 1964) . . . The CIA had good reasons not to use Banister's detective agency back in the early 1960s. He was a shadow of his former self - a drunk and violent man - a person who could not even pay his rent. - Was Guy Banister's Office at 544 Camp Street?
Just where was Guy Banister's detective agency located? Here is his letterhead: His address is pretty clear - 531 Lafayette Street, not 544 Camp Street. In addition, here is an excerpt from one of his newsletters - hardly the stuff of a crack detective agency: People going to 544 Camp Street in 1963 would have not have found Guy Banister's detective agency. In fact, while 544 Camp Street and 531 Lafayette Street were entrances to the Newman building, they were not connected. Here is an excerpt from a PBS Frontline interview with Joe Newbrough, who worked for Banister: Sam Newman said much the same thing to the HSCA: This was obscured in the HSCA Final Report: Just to illustrate - here is a picture of the two entrances: On the left (A) is 544 Camp Street; on the right (B) is 531 Lafayette Street - the entrance for Banister's office; and (C) on the second floor, Room 6, was Sergio Arcacha Smith's office.
