Max Lerner sat down with Jim Garrison at his home in New Orleans for three hours.
It's not clear exactly when Lerner sat down with Garrison. But this is very consistent with what Garrison told Hugh Aynesworth, James Phelan, Merriman Smith, and Lawrence Schiller. In addition, here is what Perry Russo told Shaw's attorneys in March 1971:
