Vincent Bugliosi lists 53 pieces of evidence in his 2007 book, Reclaiming History, against Lee Harvey Oswald. I wrote a document which lists them and shows how Meagher discussed this evidence in her 1967 book, Accessories After the Fact. In some cases, Bugliosi listed evidence that was not included in the twenty-six volumes, and I have noted that since Meagher's book is largely limited to those books.

If anybody has suggestions for improving this document, please let me know.

Here is a transcript of our discussion:

It is not a perfect transcript by any means -- it was generated by Notebook LM.

What is her legacy? (46:20)

Dr. Robert Vitt: What is Sylvia Meagher's legacy in the JFK assassination? What is she leaving for us?

Fred Litwin: She's leaving, I think a very sad legacy because she devoted so many years of her life to this and she was so bought into this and in the end, it it all came to naught. She was wrong. she was wrong on everything and she just wasn't an investigator and and I think that, you know, I mean, she just wasted many many years of her life. And I that's why I tell young people today, don't waste your time trying to find a conspiracy or another assassin because you'll waste too many years of your life. Go play guitar, go learn a language or whatever. I think it's a sad legacy.

Dr. Robert Vitt: No, I agree. I think it's sad. I'm sure a conspiracist would just steams coming out of their ears. You know. I mean, I I think she can I think she can take credit in, that of the books that I've read criticizing the Warren Report or books concerning the assassination. This is one of the books that I think even now, people don't put it high enough on their list. And in that way, I think she could be proud of this book.

Towards the end (57:13)

Dr. Robert Vitt: My final parting is, it's a good book. And if you had to read just one criticism of the Warren Report, I would probably pick this one. But I would read it right alongside the Warren Report.
