Richard Popkin Writes Garrison About Richard Case Nagell

Updated: Oct 11, 2021

Richard Popkin, author of The Second Oswald, thought that Richard Case Nagell was an important witness. Here is a letter he wrote Jim Garrison (X is Nagell):

William Martin was the Assistant District Attorney was visited Nagell in prison. He really didn't get anywhere at all. Tom Bethell, a staffer in the Garrison office, answered Popkin:

As you can see, Bethell didn't think much of the Nagell lead.

Here is a link to a document about the Mannlicher-Carcano in San Antonio.

The note on the bottom of the FBI memo is from J. Edgar Hoover, and it reads:

"O.K. They certainly pay a lot of attention to trivia."

"They" refers to the White House.
